Over 90% of Thais are Buddhists. The national religion is Theravada Buddhism, which is a branch of Hinayana Buddhism.

The remaining 10% of the population includes followers of the Christian, Muslim, Mahayana Buddhist and Hindu faiths.

Meditation is one of the most popular aspects of Buddhism. It is practiced regularly by many Thai people as a means of promoting inner peace and happiness. Interested visitors, can learn the fundamentals of this practice at several centres in Bangkok and elsewhere in the country.

When you see, just see.
When you hear, just hear.
